  • A Day in the Life Of People Over 60

This is a couple months old and I wrote it on the family site but as it happens quite often I thought I'd post it here in case you wonder what old people do all day....this is a sample.

7am this morning the phone rang...It was Gwen, so good to hear from her, she doesn't call very often so her call is quite welcome.

??am this morning the phone rang...It was Mart, he calls almost every morning on his way to work, so we can't hardly start our day till we hear from him. (In other words the day seems empty untill he calls.)

9am this morning the phone rang....It was the man from the seed company saying everthing is going as planned. ( we sold our place to a Seed company that was next door to us)

9:15am this morning the phone rang... It was Ben on his way to work. Checking in and catching up on the latest. Mikki said this morning after feeling Ruth's hair, and Ben's "Most people have hair"  (I wonder if she was thinking of Grandpa  )

I'm reminded of when Fay and Wilmer first got Roni and the little guy was learning to talk English. At church one day he pointed to Pop and said "Nothing head"

Anyhow to continue...10am this morning the phone rang....It was Ted, It was a treat to have him call because he doesn't often call. Till him and Stan got done it was near 11:30

11:45 am this morning the phone rang... It was Valerie. We talked about a couple items and while we were talking someone beeped in......

It was Mrs. Darling and while we were talking the phone (hers or
    or mine) went dead.

By 1pm we were ready to start the day. For those of you that wonder what we do all day   But without all of them I wouldn't be able to make it from 1pm till 12am.

Maybe by the end of the day Robin, Laurie. and Scott will call.

Ooops, Robin and Laurie called last night and I talked to Annette and Rowena during the day. (Or was it the day before?)

I don't know somehow things have changed and since I'm growing olderI miss a lot of things, but the things I miss the most are...

    My dark hair
    My teeth
    My beautiful figure
    Part of my eyesight
    My hiking skills
    My money
Actually, I miss my mind the most!!!

This pretty well describes our day, along with phone calls and if we go down to Denny's for breakfast and shop at WalMart awhile we've had a pretty full day

Don't get too jealous, you will be 60 before you know it.
