A NEW POST
OK, it's time for another post..... I don't do well going to doctors, they can eat up a person's day and you don't have time for the fun things of life, like blogging,
I guess I think daily of the things in life that shows us that God cares. Since my daughter lives off of highway 12 near Centraila, WA it seems that I've heard many flood stories. And, I have to think how awful it would be to see your home, barn and most everything you've worked for go down the river.
My favorite flood story tells again how God has His way of showing us, He is with us, and cares.
Since I don't know the farmers name, I'll refer to him as the normal "Famer Brown." Farmer Brown had a dairy of over 200 cows, even with so many cows he had one that was his favorite. When Farmer Brown's favorite cow had a calf, he gave the calf to his grandson. The flood came and the water rose up far enough to come in the barn, and he lost at least 180 cows. After the water went down, the farmer and his wife felt pretty discouraged, even though they knew God had everthing in His control. The next day Mr and Mrs Brown and a friend went out to see the damage done. They counted at least 180 cows that they had lost among other damages to their sheds and barns. There was distruction everywhere. They went in the neighbors barn and was looking around and they seen where the neighbor had stacked some extra hay in one of the mangers, and on top the hay lay the little grandson's calf, chewing it's cud. Alive and quiet contentded. Mrs. Brown told my daughter that at that point they was so relieved and happy that all 3 adults broke down and cried.
She also told my daughter that if she told anyone the story, to make sure and tell them, it was God that saved the little calf for them.
GOD CARES, HE LOVES US, AND HAS A PLAN FOR EACH ONE OF HIS CHILDREN. !!! AND HE SHOWS US IN BIG AND LITTLE WAYS THAT HE IS WATCHING OVER US.

He sure does
Great story!
Oh how cute!
Great story ... but oh, my what a mess to clean up! Has the water receded completely yet? Glad to see you back to posting ... your were greatly missed.
I can't imagine that kind of loss...but the calf story is precious. I loved the comment you left me about cookies going to 'waist'...that was adorable and how true! I haven't been blogging as often this last couple of months. My husband is home with severe plantar fasciitus...wondor if I spelled that right? Its a foot condition, common really, but unforgiving if your job requires you to be on your feet and doing a lot of walking. He still has trouble with it and needs prayer for his work situation. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas! Thanks for coming by to visit me now and again, I'm always happy to 'see' you.
Merry Christmas Gramma_S! I really miss you.
