  • THANK-YOU

Thank you Maggie58 for giving me the 'Kreative Blog' Award!

Because I can't find another word in the dictionary to espress my gratitiude. I'll just say a great big THANK-YOU !  It brightened my day!!
I guess I am supposed to name 6 things that make me happy. Believe it or not there are a lot more than 6.  But I'll stop at six.

    1. Jesus makes me very happy, without Him I don't know how I could be happy. The thrill of my sins forgiven and knowing The Master of the Universe loves me, makes me happy.
    2. Pop make me happy, even with him buying all his sales I feel safe with him, I have fun with him. The way he spoils me makes me happy.
    3. The love of my 52 grand children make me happy. The things they say and the little tokens of love, that the little ones give. A few crooked lines on a paper mean "I love you grandma"
    4. Pictures bring many memories that make me happy, and scrap bookking makes me happy, as do all my crafts.
    5. Friends, including my blogging friends, bring me much happiness. So much so that I look forward everyday to comments from friends.  They are a bright spot in my day.
    6. Each season brings me happiness. I love the vigor I feel when spring arrives, I love the lazy daze of summer, I love the soft winds of atumn and the harvest it brings along with the colored leaves.  There's nothing like waking up to see a blanket of freshly fallen snow. and  a warm crackling fire in a fireplace.

Tonight we ate out with old time friends, along with our son and his wife, and my grand daughter from PA.

My grand daughter is going to be with me for 7 weeks and wouldn't that make me happy? Of course it does.

Now:..... How does one pick friends to pass on the award to, this is the hardest part.  I would like to give it to everyone who comments on my blog and some I lurk on I would even like to pass it back to Maggie, I like her blog, it inspires me and gives me more ideas for crafts. It thrills me to read her personal testimony for Christ.

I will pass it on to
     1. "scentedgeranium" who is always busy working, Writing blogs about her darling little boy (a special needs child,) .taking care of her grandbaby or commenting on my blog.
    2. "Thats_italian" I admire the way she shows her love for her family, the way she deals with the family, and her desire to put God first.
    3. "islandlife" a young mother that writes honestly about her every day life with bringing up 5 children for God.
    4. "Threads_of_faith" she shows that she cares for others very much and is willing to spend time with those that need her. I have been inspired by some of the poems on her site and encouragement to follow God.
    5. "Gentle_Shepherd" Although he don't write as often as he used to, I often used his site as part of my devotions.
    6. I can't decide, I'll try again tomorrow...Am I allowed to put down all the people I have sucscribed to? or that comment on my blog........    I don't know how to use "Mr Linky", I'm sorry

  • I'm glad you enjoyed the award! I enjoy your posts and am delighted that I finally realized that the xanga subscription I suscribed to is your blog. I'll get here more often now for sure. =) Your grandchildren must give you many blessings along the way. Mine do me, and we only have two. My sister just called, she is in the hospital and has been diagnosed with an ulcer in  her stomach and in her esophagus, they didn't give her her proper meds at the nursing home she is in....and they are trying to get her into a different nursing facitily to recouperate from her broken ankle, and save her from further mishaps. I pray they are able to. My poor sister! She is at the mercy of others all the time. She knows nothing about the joys of blogging or little else for that matter. She does read and we are reading 'The Boxcar Children' together. I read one occasionally as I give them to her almost as fast as we can buy them...secondhand. I hope you are having a good day, its so pretty out isn't it! Wish I was sitting under a tree but I've a cello to practise and a load of dress shirts to hang up plus must be ready to go to town in an hour. Whew, I'd better zip out of here.....=)

  • You are too kind to pass the award to me.  I'll accept this award from you because you inspire me to walk closer with the Lord.  Each time I visit, I'm reminded about His great love for us.  Thank you so much for always sharing your faith in Jesus.  Hugs from the North Woods  'scentedgeranium' ... aka Mrs. Mac

  • Thank you so much for the award.  That is very special coming from you.  I am sorry that you are having to get rid of old books.  It is nice that your family can inherit them.

  • What a blessing to receive this award from you, Virginia, and thank you so much for those sweet, and kind words!

I will think on the 6 top things (there are many) that make me happy, and work on getting those posted as soon as I can, and I'll pass this award along as well, to those who have blessed me! I also want to thank you for your prayers for Elizabeth. She is still having treatments for the virus they found in her blood, and they seem weary. They do see glimmers of hope, but it will just take time with this illness. You enjoy that time with your grand daughter! You have a blessed weekend, my friend. ~ Deborah <><

  • Awww.... Thank you!   What a blessing YOU are!  : )

That is so thoughtful of you to think of me and I am so happy that the Lord used the entries to draw closer to Him.  That's what it's all about isn't it?  I think our lives reflect His glory, even through pain in the way things are handled as you often write through trials.

Your comments are such a blessing to my heart.  I know when I see you I'll be smiling because you have such a SWEET heart!   I guess you are a sweetheart!  : )

ryc...that is so neat that you took that photo on the Grandma's Stories book by Christian Light!  I may even have that one!  Wow!  Those story books are the best, Sam used to read them to the girls as they grew up...Wonderful Christ filled lessons!

You are a blessing!   I appreciate you very, very much. : )  Love, Amelia

  •   Wow, 52 grandchildren! I find myself busy trying to keep up with 7! God bless you!

I never heard a preying mantis eat. That's really interesting that they chew loudly. Lol!

  • Yeah I'll get to that as soon as I can. lol Ok, I'll tell you what you did. When you went to capitalize your 'I' You held down the ctrl button instead of the shift. That made it in italics.....you can get it in bold that same way, just hold down the ctrl while you press down the 'b'......... pretty nifty. Love you!

  • Just passing by...52 grandchildren Oh my goodness how do you keep up with all of them...lols?

    Have a nice day....Linda

  • Not that I feel I deserve a Kreative Blogger award, but I moved my blog to a friends and family only one after a bad experience on Blogger, and I should send you an invitation, Virginia.  Maybe I will do that after I post this.  Or else send you the URL, as the invitation function of Vox (where my blog is) seems to be malfunctioning.  I would enjoy seeing you there.

  • Just stopping by to see you! I'll be back. I haven't been blogging lately...I've been so busy with other things, you know how it is.  You must be having a wonderful time with your granddaughter...I can just imagine!   bye for now,  from Maggie Ann
