Exhortation
Nearly every blog I open, has a post on it, about how they realize that prophecy is being fulfilled. I agree. But, my Bible says, in Luke 21:28 “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.”
It also says in Hebrews 3:13 “But exhort one another daily, while it is To day: lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” Some synonyms for exhort: encourage, stimulate, inspire, pep talk. Are we doing that? I think it’s great to tell the word when we realize that prophesy is being full filled, I myself love to study prophecy. But now that we recognize it and we must go on living, let’s encourage one another to hold fast.
I know, I wasn’t going to post for 2 weeks and it hasn’t been 2 weeks but I think and think about this and this post isn’t very long.
I ask the question. Do we encourage one another to stay true or is all we dwell on is the doom that awaits our beloved country.
Let me hear some encouragement. Lets encourage one another

I dwell on the doom
and Obama. Im just not over it yet.
This was a good post though and a great admonition from my mother.
Excellent post.
In the vain of encouraging one another:@mrsdarling - Please do not dwell on the doom and gloom. If the uglies we heard from people regarding this man are only half true, our God is still 100% in control! If these are the last days, why mourn for this ugly sin-filled Earth? Soon we will be eternally rejoicing with our Savior! There is nothing the enemy rejoices in more than an ineffective, down-in-the-mouth Christian. It is time to kick the enemy in the backside, and rejoice that God is still on His throne. If God was finished with us and this old Earth, He would have taken us the moment Obama was elected. But, He isn’t finished with us yet. Let’s wake out of our slumber, and wipe the gloom from our lives and do something wonderful and give God the glory.
I know I am different and a bit weird in more ways than one but I look forward to Obama’s reign for I am convinced this is all ordained from God. So I will not dwell on the doom and gloom.
very interesting post. you are so right! thanks for letting me stop by.
Thanks for the encouragement.. my spirit needed that.. How are you doing? I miss hearing from you.
Thanks for the encouragement, sister. I agree we need more of it. I was also challenged this week of learning to live more with an attitude of gratitude. Focusing on Christ is so much better then the things of this world. God bless you
I am so glad to see this post. I do not know what the future will bring, other than what God wants for us, but I am not afraid because of Obama and in fact I feel that he was what this country needed right now. I am happy to see you encouraging others, Gramma S, because that is the best way to approach any of our earthly situations. You brought a ray of sunshine to my life today, at any rate.
I’ve been wanting to come over and thank you for the uplifting comment you left when I posted my gloomy outburst on election day. What you said really helped me.
I just can’t dwell on the doom….every time I look down at my precious new gift from God, I see hope. Every time I look into the innocent eyes of my children I feel revived. On one hand it scares me to my soul…..fear of what they may have to face. But God keeps bringing a song from my childhood to mind. I’m not sure I have every word right, but you’ll be able to fill in.
“How sweet to hold a newborn baby, and feel the joy and pride he gives….but sweeter still, the calm assurance, this child can face uncertain days BECAUSE HE LIVES!!!!!!!”
I claim that. It is so perfectly fitting to Duane’s and my life right now and so true. Jesus lives!!!! Obama can’t change that!!
