  • I’d say Amen also but you almost get the feeling he might say”why are yu saying amen, I’m talking about you!

This sermon never fails to challenge me even though I’ve heard it about 4 times now.

  • @alltheveas -  It reminds me of a speaker I heard one time, the audience was giving lots of “Amen’s.” all of a sudden he said, “Don’t say “Amen” unless it applies to you personally, and you’re going to do something about it.  Don’t say “Amen” because you think another brother in the crowd should apply it to his life.  Saying “Amen” can be for a carnal satifaction.”  After that you didn’t hear any “Amens.”  Although I agree with him in some cases, I think in this case you can readily say “Amen” because it does apply to us as well as all America. I say “Amen” to this message because I agree with it,  Well…..I guess I do wish all America would hear it and do something about it but I can at least pray and apply the message to myself.

  • This is a great message to apply.  I know that the world watches America and everything we do.  God watches us and must cry.  The message of the cross is a simple one … yet we get tangled up in snares we set for ourselves.  Snares that lead to hell.  Thank you for sharing this message.

  • ryc: I’d be happy to send you a Christmas card! We didn’t use the professional photos this year for cards but we are sending out birth announcements along with Christmas greetings. And they will probably be late….I didn’t get them done until today. But, better late than never, right?! Message me your address and I’ll put you on my list.

  • Dear Gramma S, I wish I could see the video you posted. I can’t, because my dial up connection is too slow. But that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy the rest of your blog! And I do… as much as ever. You are an inspiration to me.

If you go to my blog, you will find a little something there for you…..

  • Hello Virginia! Thank you for that reply to my Christmas message! I haven’t been able to get around here much … there’s alot going on here at home, but I want to be more consistant once things calm down! I do miss visting you here! Not sure if you’ve read my posts lately, but so many things have happened just this month, to both friends and family. My husband broke his ankle yesterday, and will be down for a couple of weeks and being unable to work on it … they said it was a broken fibula … our sweet son couldn’t make it home for Christmas, so it’s been a quiet day for us, and I’m a bit sad not to be able to spend the holidays with him.

I do hope that you’re having a blessed day with you’re family and friends! Do you have a white Christmas there? Ours is sunny and about 25*. I’d love to have some snow, though. I also, would love to see the video you posted … I have DSL, but I still see a blank white square. I may try again later, to see if it shows up … could just be a slow connection due to all the people on line today! You have a blessed day, and thank you, again, for dropping over! ~ Deborah <><

  • The entire 60 minute video is posted on You Tube. The evangelist is Paul Washer and what he says is 100% correct. He presents a message most Americans do not want to hear because it is all about following God with your whole heart.

    Blessings Gramma S!
